COBI EOL 2026: These Four Sets Are Being Discontinued

COBI has informed its retailers about numerous new products, as well as discontinued models, in its September 22, 2026, shipping update.

Specifically, these four sets are being discontinued:

  • COBI-2543 – M24 Chaffee – 590 pieces
  • COBI-3110 – DUKW Amphibia – 508 pieces
  • COBI-4830 – HMS Hood – 2,613 pieces
  • COBI-6285 – Ommr 32 “Linz” Freight Car – 584 pieces

I’ve already reviewed all four models in detail on my BloxxStar YouTube channel. So if you’re still thinking about picking up one of these sets before they’re gone for good, you can check out my channel to get a detailed look.

What does EOL mean at COBI?

EOL stands for “End of Life,” meaning the end of a set’s product life cycle.

In plain language: The model is being removed from the regular lineup and will no longer be restocked. Production and distribution of this set are being phased out.

However, that doesn’t mean the models are no longer available anywhere.

Retailers may still have some remaining stock on hand. And this is precisely the phase that’s interesting for collectors: While the set may already be sold out at one retailer, another might still have a few copies on the shelf.

Once these stocks are gone, however, it becomes increasingly difficult to get a new set at the regular price.

COBI-2543 – M24 Chaffee

The M24 Chaffee consists of 590 pieces and is part of the Historical Collection WWII.

This model of the American light tank has been on the market for several years now—my review of it dates back to 2021.

COBI-3110 – DUKW Amphibia

The somewhat more unusual DUKW Amphibia is also being discontinued.

The amphibious vehicle consists of 508 pieces and—like its historical counterpart—combines a vehicle and a boat in a single model.

In 2024, I featured the DUKW in detail under the fitting title “The Ugly Duckling.”

COBI-4830 – HMS Hood

For me, the most notable departure in this EOL round is the HMS Hood.

With 2,613 pieces and a length of about 88 centimeters, the Hood is one of COBI’s largest ship models. The model was built to a 1:300 scale.

Collectors of COBI ships in particular are likely to find its EOL status interesting.

I’ve also covered the HMS Hood in detail on my channel.

COBI-6285 – Ommr 32 “Linz” Freight Car

And even railroad fans have to say goodbye to one set.

The Ommr 32 “Linz” Freight Car consists of 584 pieces and was released in 2023.

Back then, I featured the car right alongside a matching wartime locomotive MOC.

Remaining stock: It’s worth taking a look at the BloxxStar set database

You can still find all four models in the BloxxStar set database on BloxxStar.de.

There you’ll find information about the respective sets and—if applicable—sources or retailers where the model may still be available.

It’s especially worth checking availability for EOL sets. After all, EOL doesn’t mean they’re sold out right away: as long as retailers still have remaining stock, the models may still be available as usual.

However, it’s impossible to predict how long these stocks will last.

COBI is making room for the next new releases

It’s part of the normal product cycle for older models to be phased out. At the same time, COBI already has numerous new releases in the pipeline.

Among other things, a new collaboration with Red Bull—The Flying Bulls—is launching. To kick things off, the P-51D Mustang and the Vought F4U Corsair will be released in both 1:32 and 1:48 scales.

Toyota is also joining the COBI lineup. Among the announced releases are three Yaris rally models and three historic Land Cruisers.

In addition, there will be new models from the world of current and historic military technology—including Leopard tanks, Saab fighter jets, the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, new Tiger and Panther tanks, as well as other aircraft and figure sets.

Four sets are being discontinued!

With the M24 Chaffee, DUKW amphibious vehicle, the HMS Hood, and the “Linz” freight car, four very different models are being discontinued from the current COBI lineup.

If any of these have been on your wish list for a while, you should at least take a look at the remaining stock.

And if you’d like to know what to expect from the sets beforehand: You can find my detailed review of all four models on YouTube.

The respective set pages on BloxxStar.de will also help you find information and, if available, any remaining sources where you can purchase the model.

Happy building!
