The Big News: New Original Series
The most striking new addition is “The Flying Bulls” series—named after Red Bull’s famous fleet of aircraft. To kick things off, there are historic military aircraft in 1:48 scale, including the P-51D Mustang and the Vought F4U-4 Corsair, each also available in a larger 1:32 version with a minifigure.
In addition, COBI is significantly expanding its Toyota license: More vehicles from the GR Yaris Rally2 and Land Cruiser FJ40 series will follow in 1:35 scale. We recently reported on the first announced Toyota set.
Highlight: Königstiger now also available in the large 1:28 scale
For tank fans, the new Tiger II “Königstiger” (Set #2685) is likely to be one of the most exciting sets in the catalog: For the first time, the Königstiger is available in the large 1:28 scale with a whopping 1,571 pieces and 2 minifigures—significantly more detailed than the previous 1:35 or 1:48 versions. The planned release date is November 2026. The series will also be expanded in the same scale with the “King Tiger (KTV2)” variant (#2686, 1,572 pieces, already announced for September 2026).
Highlight: First French Frigate from COBI
Also worth highlighting is the FDI Frigate (#4871)—the first French frigate in the COBI lineup. The 1:300-scale model consists of 995 pieces and 4 minifigures and is part of the Armed Forces series in collaboration with Naval Group. The set is scheduled for release in November 2026, complementing the also-new Charles de Gaulle Aircraft Carrier (#4868) and the existing Sous-Marin SNLE submarine—COBI is thus significantly expanding its French naval fleet.
The catalog also has plenty to offer tank fans in other areas: The standard version of the Panzer V Panther (not to be confused with the Jagdpanther) is announced as Set 3146 “Panzer V Panther Ausf. D”—the very set whose prototype photos recently appeared on the COBI Facebook page.
