The KV-2 was developed in the Soviet Union in the early 1940s to combat heavily fortified enemy positions. It was based on the chassis of the KV heavy tank, but featured an exceptionally large, tall turret mounting a 152-mm howitzer. It was precisely this oversized turret that made the KV-2 one of the most distinctive and, even today, easily recognizable armored vehicles of its time.

COBI 2688 – KV-2 at a Glance
The model is set to be released under set number 2688 and, according to the initial announcement, will include:
- 1,300 pieces
- 1:28 scale
- Historical markings and printed details
- Detailed construction of the hull, running gear, and the characteristic massive turret
- a display stand with the vehicle’s name
In terms of size, the KV-2 fits between the existing 1:28 tanks in the Historical Collection and is likely to be one of the more striking models in the series—if only because of its massive turret.
